What are called good friends?
Having friends of your choice whether guy or girl.

Girls whose parents are decent and whom your parents like.

What are called good manners?
Coming back home late at night due to work or a party.
No, no, no. That can’t be.
Coming back home before six because after that it becomes dangerous for us.

What is good to do in life?
Join clubs and show leadership skills and show the world your talent.
No, no, no. That can’t be.
Sit at home and learn cooking and other household work because atlast that is what will come to use when you get married.
Now that’s more like a decent girl.
What to do when you’re menstruating?
No, no, no. That can’t be.
Girls don’t talk about “that” in public.

Decent girl? What do you know about a decent girl?
Someone who listens to you and to the norms and doesn’t do what she loves or listens to someone who thinks that wearing a crop top is wrong but wearing a saree with a small blouse and a thin pallu is right.
Really? Is that a decent girl?
No.
That is a robot. Manipulated by the so-called “correct things to do” that are thrown onto her with a pressure that she can’t resist.
I’ll tell you what a decent girl is.
It is a girl who wears what she likes whether that is shorts, jeans, crop tops, kurtis or sarees.
It is a girl who doesn’t differentiate between a girl and a boy and has friends of her choice.
It is a girl who has the freedom to come back home at whatever time she wants with a sense of safety and security and fearlessness of no danger.
It is a girl who knows her inner self and does what she loves without any hindrance or fear whether that is being in the celebrity fame or in the corporate world or at home.
It is a girl who loves herself and has no problem in talking about her body because it’s normal and just a natural process.
Now that’s more like a decent girl.
