The Truth

Updated: Jul 11, 2023

Truth. Do you know what it is? I don’t, because it has so many variations that it’s just too hard to say which one is “the one”. There are true truths, false truths(FTs), partial truths, half-truths and what not and whether we believe it or not, we have all said all these kinds of truths but the sad part is that most of us say false truths or partial truths or sometimes white lies. We try our best to not or we don’t, but we do and that is the truth. But a true truth is so pure and wholesome and powerful but we rarely realise it’s importance and understand it’s true meaning and power. A single truth has the power to break or make things. When a truth is preceded by dozens of false truths, it usually creates havoc and mostly breaks things while sometimes it creates the purest of things like relationships between people. The relationships that are based on pure truths are long lasting and free from misunderstandings.

In my personal experience, I have met so many people that constantly say FTs and most of the times it’s just partial truths that they say and don’t realise it themselves. But, it’s astonishing to see that some people just keep saying FTs constantly throughout their days even to the ones closest to them as if they are in bubble of their own with all their hidden secrets and truths and they would never, at any cost, let anyone burst into their bubble, even if it means to say a lot of false truths and they don’t mind doing that as their bubble in itself is made of a lot of FTs.

And sometimes they get into a lot of trouble due to their growing bubble of FTs, but the solution to all those problems is just one- to burst the bubble. I know it’s not that easy as it is to type it down and post it on a blog on the internet but we can atleast try to say as many as less FTs as possible and keep our bubble as small as possible including only those personal things in it that are supposed to be only with ourselves.

Okay, but let me be a little realistic, this is just all priest talk or like when we were taught in the 1st grade that “We should always say the truth.” But the actual truth is that it is not at all easy to open up and most probably after you have read this blog of mine you’ll go say another FT, maybe I will too. We all will but all I am saying is that we can try to be as open and try not to be fake with others and tell them stuff that is not true which might hurt them or others in any way possible. In short, all I am saying is that we should try to create as much less mess as we can and say as many truths as we can. We should not be positive but we should be realistic and see where a truth is absolutely necessary and where it’s better to say a white lie. And yes, just to clear this, saying the truth can be avoided if you want to give someone a surprise because that is for a good cause, obviously.

Do you ever think about this- truths? So, feel free to write in the comment box below because I would love to hear some feedback from you readers.
